Steve Marso Receives Iowa State Bar Association Rolland E. Grefe Pro Bono Publico Award

Attorney Steve Marso received the 2024 Iowa State Bar Association Rolland E. Grefe Pro Bono Publico Award at the Association's Annual Meeting on July 25, 2024 in Altoona, Iowa.

The award was established in recognition of Rolland E. Grefe's long service to the Association and his support for access to justice for all people. Recipients are legal professionals who have committed time and talents to improving access to justice in Iowa. 

About steve marso

Marso is an attorney and chair of the firm's construction practice group.  He also serves as secretary of the Polk County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project (PCBA VLP) Board of Directors.  The program is the primary conduit for pro bono clients in Polk County and is one of the most successful in the nation. Lawyers donate thousands of hours of their time to ensure access to justice. Marso has been recognized for annual pro bono work hours numerous times by the PCBA VLP. 

Marso graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law (J.D., 1999) and Hope College (B.A., 1996).
