Iowa State University Construction Engineering Scholarship Awarded for 2022 — 2023
The Whitfield & Eddy Law construction and surety practice group once again awarded a $1,000 scholarship to a current Iowa State University Construction Engineering student. The firm has been a long-time supporter of the Master Builders of Iowa's scholarship fund to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in the program.
In his scholarship application, Noah noted his great grandfather immigrated to Minnesota from Norway and worked in the heavy construction industry and worked on dams around the state and the former tallest building in the state, the Foshay Tower. Upon graduation in spring 2024, he plans to take a job as an engineer for a construction company.
“We are proud to support students during their the construction engineering studies and we work daily with Iowa State University College of Engineering graduates,” said construction attorney Jeffrey D. Stone, AP LEED.
Stone is a 1976 graduate of the ISU Construction Engineering program and 1992 law school graduate. He founded the Iowa State University ConE Reunion, an annual event celebrating it's 27th year on Thursday November 3, 2022. He was also a member of the ISU CCEE Anniversary Celebrations Planning Committee for the Construction Engineering 60th Anniversary in 2020 and College of Engineering 150th Anniversary in 2021.
